To ensure we can focus fully on the care of our elephants and our guests, we maintain an email-only policy. We do not use a phone at the project.
Whether you have a question about a new booking or an existing one, please reach out via email. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 12–24 hours.

Before You Visit: Essential Info
Finding Us (Beware of Scams) Some drivers and tuktuk-taxis will try to take you to elephant riding places instead of our sanctuary because they receive a commission there.

Our Location: Rambukkana Road, Randeniya, Kegalle.

The Landmark: Look for "Riyanka Auto Care" on your left (2km from Kandy junction), then take the steep road up.

The Sign: Only enter if you see the official Elephant Freedom Project sign.
Transport & Taxis We don't want you to worry about transport. We use a trusted 3rd-party service with high-quality cars and vans.

Public Transport: From Kandy/Colombo, take the bus to Pinnawala junction or the train to Rambukkana station.

If you are running late, there is no need to call or email—just join us as soon as you arrive!
What to Bring Please wear shorts and flip-flops or water shoes, as we will be crossing a small stream. Don't forget sunscreen, a hat, and insect repellent!
